Grand Prize: 5,000 STEEL CREDITS PACK

About the game:

From the beginning, it was clear that problems awaited For Honor. The programmers didn't choose. Is your danger justified? Until you say so. But we can say for certain that the thing that is most important was dealt with by the founders of the game - they made the game fascinating.

Above the average

Even though For Honor is primarily focused on multiplayer, there's also a single player campaign in the sport. And she deals with her job perfectly: introduces the entire world for which we have to shed blood in battles, the combat system, represents. And also gives hours of entertaining fights.

The storyline here, however, is straightforward. There were Vikings, samurai, and knights, and they lived. But one evening that is beautiful there was a cataclysm, due to which the sources of all fractions ran out. Thus began the war, and when the problems with water and meals were resolved, the parties continued to struggle - therefore, according to the custom. And today, oil is being poured by some person at a helmet-skull into the fire - she believes that just warriors have the right to live, and also is fueling another warfare. It is in this war that we must fight.

The storyline missions do not pose some revelations: there is not any outstanding directing in them, no complicated narrative either. For eight hours, we go through deal with enemies that are different and arenas for personalities, and at times we watch videos that are funny but easy. The heroes scream something.
But, despite the meager source, sometimes, the story is still intriguing. In some cut scenes, jokes that are simple but successful slip through, and the characters, albeit horizontal, evoke sympathy. The plot itself turned out to be straightforward, but solid: it gradually contributes to a logical and a end. But most importantly is very great to play thanks to a couple things.

Three game features

The first is that the mechanisms proper. The For Honor combat system is really a tricky hybrid mechanic such as Souls and fighting sport. When each trifle rushes in the protagonist, the match can't be distinguished from an ordinary slasher. Nonetheless, it is worthwhile to confront a serious competition (and you will find most of these ), as every thing changes instantly. That is, simply putting the cube here isn't enough; from where it arrived you have to deflect the blow. The assault also needs to be thoughtful - a hail of blows cans repel, and that means you have to look for places, deceive, swinging in 1 direction, and striking out of the other side, and so on. In addition, there are various types of strokes, their combinations, the capability to break through a block, parry, catches, thrusts, attacks in a jump and out of acceleration, finishing, rolls, and many, many distinct things that turn fights into intense and very difficult conflicts, in which to think, observe and show patience is no less critical than reflecting blows in time.

In this case, the principal thing which makes this process intriguing is that the characters behaving both as enemies and as heroes. Any accessible fighter isn't merely a version, and everyone has their own combinations, sets of motions, array of attack, "rate" features, and heaps of subtleties that have to be analyzed for quite a very long time. If a Viking with an ax is a slow but warrior, capable of magnificent and hurling enemies to the abyss, then a samurai woman with a naginata is the embodiment of speed, it is sometimes difficult to even approach her. And both will have their own set of strikes, tricks, and abilities.
Ultimately, the last chord is the landscapes themselves. They suggest to make a slaughter then either in the walls of a knight's castle in a forest, or perhaps in the hills. Nevertheless, the thing is that in each place there are interactive items traps with spikes, such as bonfires, geysers, cliffs, and cracks. With their assistance, you can get rid of the enemy: having pushed on one into the abyss, for example, which helps a lot in conflicts where the enemies outnumber you.

Due to these three components, an understandable and at the same time, profound gameplay is got. For Honor, you need to think about when to guard, and when to strike, take care to not miss a sudden blow in the side, utilize all the abilities of the characters and think about what the enemy hero is capable of. And this takes sword fighting to an almost level, which wasn't even in Dark Souls.
It is a bit disappointing that, gradually, opponents become boring under the control of artificial intelligence, because they are fighting according to the very same principles. In case a Viking governor attacks you, be prepared for the fact that by way of example, he will hit from above, then two from the left, and following that, he will go into a defense mode. Memorized? You can now set them.
