Grand Prize: Horror Bag

About the game:

For their second game, Harry Newman, the creator of Garry's Mod, along with his group chose a really hot theme in their own Rust is dedicated to the struggle for existence in a barbarous universe inhabited by creatures and players that were aggressive. The similarity with DayZ is striking, and lots of perceived Rust as a clone, and for that reason, as Newman's attempt to improve himself in the style that is new.

Maybe, because of this, Facepunch Studios at February 2014 exchanged zombies for rabid wolves and mutant bears. Nonetheless, the survival shooter with the dead's soul has stayed; it seems to us today they are wandering somewhere nearby, behind the scenes. There's enough problem!

Learned from the best
The mixture of zombies, crafting items, and survival was popular for decades. Rust, the namesake of one of the most popular network cards such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare two, has many sources of inspiration in once - aside from the obvious DayZ, these are slightly less explicit Minecraft, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Rust borrowed a few pieces from each of the three cult games.

Paranoia, rampaging corpses, and searching for creatures came here from DayZ, from Minecraft - that the building and production of items required for survival in the jungle, as well as the chance to reconstruct a private fortress with prickly fences. The STALKER collection, consequently, borrowed radiation, eternal autumn, the romance of sleeping bags, along with meetings by the fire. Only vodka for your post-nuclear entourage isn't sufficient, but you can attempt beans, tuna from a can or poultry breastfeeding, which will have to be obtained from the corpse of a pig. Developers so dearly love the joke about the way chicken is made of steak in Rust, they dedicated one of their group's "Steam" game cards to it.

No probability of dying by a zombie bite
including all the borrowings, Rust is a self indulgent game with its recognizable look. Deathmatch was crossed with by simulator. The arena for fights is a big island. Every player who first got for himself to a server that is new begins with a naked native. From the hands only a large cobblestone, with which you can extract other precious materials stones, and timber, knocking trees.

It's possible to attempt to hit somebody with a cobblestone, but this item is slow, and you may kill personalities that are sleeping and defenseless pigs and deer with it. Against a competitive and moving goal, the cobblestone remains weak. That is the reason why any survivor is simply obliged to accumulate weapons that are improved - for example, a stone ax and a bow - and - then erect a shack and organize inside a chest a sleeping bag, and a bonfire for frying meat. From the very first seconds of appearing on the server, all other players will hinder development - it is disagreeable to fulfill people who have already made firearms and smelted cartridges on it.

At a unique price, there are metal components from which the priciest things are constructed: from barn iron and locks doors to the M4 rifle. From quality, items can be broken up into wood, rock, and iron. The substances are extracted simply: timber can be collected from trees or woodpiles, stones are broken off from large boulders, and also the metal will have to be melted in the furnace, and swallowing low fuel.

Humiliate your neighbor
The main job of the participant is to survive at all costs, keeping an acceptable level three important parameters: health, satiety, and the dosage of radiation received. Health adheres to the "energy" of the protagonist and can be missing from shots, bites, bumps, and falls, even from a small height. Satiety is a little more interesting. The index drops over time. Still, in comfortable circumstances (as an example, near a campfire), it reduces gradually, and over a chilly night or during an active run from enemies - much faster. In the game, there are radiation zones where it is harmful to linger for a long time. The view gets the image spreads into pixelsas well as the Geiger counter rustles, indicating mortal danger and an increase.

But the most crucial threat is additional players. These villains really like to newcomers that are mock - simply because there are loads of ways. In Rust, you are able to lock the player in his own home, create him undress and run nude, sparkling with a location, or place him on a raw meat that is distinctive. Fun's apogee is revealed in the video on the Penis Brotherhood's creation. And this is what attracts a whole lot of players - a sea of ??opportunities for mocking the remainder and the so called "griffin." In this way, Rust will give odds to DayZ, Dota two, and other "unfriendly" games.
